Upcoming Shows

Well this a bare bones, start-from-scratch "organization", but I still wanna see people going to the shows at least for reports. Talk to the guys, see what's new and what they have to say. Talk to the club owners, get some information on how their club recieves Bobaflex. I plan to get feedback to Marty and the guys so they can boost exposure on the airwaves and such..right into the minds of unsuspecting rockers everywhere. All I've found for upcoming events at this time are: September 17th at The Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio and September 24th at The V-Club in Huntington W.V. Whoever is nearest these areas should get on the phones and let local radio stations know there will be an awesome show coming to town. Honestly, how many of you have heard much about their upcoming shows on the radio? We need to!

Well this is not yet posted on any Bobaflex page so I do not know if it's confirmed, but according to eventful there is a show scheduled for September 25 at the Lounge in Akron. If this is true, I will be there.

I hope they're going to be at The Lounge, because I totally requested that night off work. Any guess at what time they'll go on? According to Eventful, it's a later show. I believe it said 9-2:30 or something like that..

I'll confirm this date with Marty, for one thing..and second, I bet they go on around 10:00. That seems to be their time slot of choice. I wish I could afford to go

Alright. I have a message out to Marty asking to confirm the Akron date. Hope he gets back to me! I also have a message out to him asking him to check this forum out.

Sweet. I figured 10 or 11, too. If it was just me, the time wouldn't matter all, but I've convinced my mom to go, so I figure she won't want to be out 'til 4 a.m.

I'm sure we'll have another 'obsessed' Bobaflex fan if we make it out.

Well, I asked Marty about whether they were playing in Akron at The Lounge, and he said, "I don't think we're playing Akron". So...either he doesn't remember, or no...Getting us no further on this subject than we were before But I wouldn't hold my breath. Sorry Hammer and Stacky!

If it turns out they are doing the show I figured I could pass out fliers or something at school.. That's not far at all from Kent so it might be worth the effort.

If they do go, then yes. definately pass out fliers. I need to ask Marty how to go about getting fliers or a computer file that we can print to use as fliers. We need propaganda we can hand out. The forum is great for the internet, but I think we need fliers and demos too. Maybe stickers someday! And if they do play there, will you call local radio stations and have them plug the gig on the air? I'm sick of seeing nobody support the guys at northeast Ohio shows!

I'm going to be terribly depressed if they aren't playing in Akron.

Brent is still working on getting a show together for the Cove. Marty was supposed to be talking to their booking agent. Hopefully the date will be set soon. I'll post it on here as soon as I know.

Hammer- I keep waiting for you to text me with a Bobaflex Cove date, haha. Show things really need to happen faster. The lack of Bobaflex in my life is pretty brutal.

They talked last night, apparently Marty will be calling the booking guy tomorrow and get back to Brent after that. I definitely agree..too slow of a process. \m/

No, still haven't heard anything. He sent a txt the other day and didn't hear back.. thinking about just calling Trevor again.

I live in KY and I've only seen them once this year. It was back in May at the VClub in Huntington. I'm used to seeing them several times throughout the year. It's killin' me not knowing when I'll be seeing them again. The closest they've come to me since then is Dayton and Louisville, both shows which I missed. Missed Dayton due to work and missed Louisville due to being on vacation in Florida. Very ready for another Bobaflex show. *Fingers crossed* one before the end of the year.

Bobaflex withdrawl is not a fun thing.. hopefully they'll pump out some shows right after the album comes out.
